Samsung leverages Super Eagles sponsorship

World's leading consumer electronics brand, Samsung, will begin to leverage its sponsorship of Nigeria’s most supported team, the Super Eagles, with a Man-of-The-Match Award in Saturday’s 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea.

Back in August, the brand sealed a three-year deal with the Super Eagles brand custodian, the Nigeria Football Association (NFA), to become the first "Official Electronic Partner" of the team.

Samsung's strategy is to use the Super Eagles to connect with loyal and dedicated fans across the country.

The brand will offer 3,000 US Dollars (about N475,000) to the Super Eagles player who emerges Man-of-The-Match, on Saturday.

Sportsbrandsnigeria.com learnt that leading Lagos based Sports Agency, Hotsports, has emerged as the activation agency for the brand.

Samsung is well known as a brand that leverages sponsorship properties across the world like the Olympic Games, Africa Cup of Nations, Caf Champions League, Chelsea FC and the IAAF Diamond League amongst others.
